AVA- new arrival

So last night about 8:18 pm my sister, Shauna had her baby. A little girl they named Ava. Today we went and saw her and the happy family. Here are a few pics of the family and the new arrival.

The Young Family
Mya, Weston, Ava and Colton!
Me holding Ava!
They didn't know what they were having until Ava came out, but to be honest my bet was a girl and what can I say. She was 8 lbs 10 0z and 21 1/2 inches. Shauna and Ava are both doing great and hoping to go home tonight. I tried to get them to call her Jennifer or Ava Jennifer because we all know I am going to be her favorite, but for some reason they said no. I can't see why not, I like the name. :) Any way I hope you enjoy the pics. I will keep you updated on my new adorable niece. Now I have 11 nieces and 5 nephews.... girls rule I guess.

Trip to Virginia

Kimi, Mom, and I went to Virginia about a week and a half ago to visit Derek, April and Family for Ember's Baptism. She got baptized on Saturday Feb. 21st . It was so great to be there with her along with her family and April's parents from California. I also got to meet my two nieces that were born last April: Gracie and Violet. They are pretty adorable I must say as are the other kids: Ember, Abigal and Andrew. It was fun to be there and visit. Our trip wasn't exactly how we planned because lots of people got sick including myself and so there was no being a tourist for me, but Kimi and Mom saw the Lincoln Memorial (cute pic of them at the memorial) and a few other things so that was fun. I also got to see my old roomie and friend Char from college and spend some time with her, so that was great. Overall besides the sickness it was a fun trip and great to see the family.

Ember and I after her baptism.

Andrew, Ember, Abigail, Violet, and Grace after the baptism. The cookies were really good as you can see all of the kids have one.
As you can see it was a lot of fun and it was great to see the family again and some for the first time.

Pretty cute!!!

Becca came to me looking so sad and then she showed me her new talent..... I have to admit she is pretty cute, but then again she is related to me!!! (If you haven't seen Madagascar 2 you won't get it, but it is still cute.)

J-Team Traveling

So last weekend the J-Team went to Paris, isn't it beautiful... the Eiffel Tower in the background, the romance in the air, the French food, the French men... oh, wait I most of have been dreaming I was in Paris, but alas we were only in Las Vegas, but we were wishing it was really Paris... someday!. Anyway Jeannna, Janae, Jen, and I went to Las Vegas to spend some time and go to a show. The show we went to was Ka (picture below) it was fabulous. They had amazing talent and great effects I would recommend it to anyone. The acrobatics were outstanding and really grabbed your attention. The glitter was great too....

We also went to the M&M store and met a real-life Peanut M&M. He was more than happy to have his picture taken with us and it was four-floors of yumminess for those who love M&Ms, and of course who doesn't love them.

Like I said in the beginning we saw some hot French men ok actually we didn't and the closest we got to hot men was this picture of Australlia's Hottest Export (According to Las Vegas standards I guess). Yes folks it is a picture and no we did not go to the show, but they are nice to look at it and laugh at in the picture.

We stayed at the Luxor Hotel (the pyramid one) and had lots of fun going to the show, shopping ( I got a great pair of shoes), watching movies, eating, and just chatting to our hearts content. We then spent the night in SLC on Saturday went hot tubbing and watched movies again. It was very relaxing and lots of fun. Sunday we went to Church with Lacy and met lots of fun people. I have to say it was just what all of us needed and it was fun to get away and be together. I am excited for my next big adventure this weekend when Mom, Kimi, and I head to Virginia for Ember's baptism, it will be fabtabulous!!!!
So I bid you farewell for today and hopefully someday soon I can put a picture of the real Eiffel Tower with the J-Team in front of it!!!

I must comment on the shoes....

So if any of you are on Facebook you will see that there has been some discuss on my wall about shoes. So, I decided to write a little bit on my blog especially since I added my quotes about shoes. Some people may call it an obsession, but personally I call it a hobby. As you all know I love to buy shoes and I love to get a great deal on a pair of shoes. Shoes to me is one way that I express my emotions that day. I have shoes that I wear when I am feeling cute, ugly, PHAT (pretty hot and tempting), the other fat, laid back, lazy, professional, athletic (probably my least worn pair), wishing it was summer, and on a mission shoes (not like a real mission). Some girls have clothes that they wear for these different feelings, but I am not a clothes shopper most of the time and so I can't do this. Yes I counted my shoes the other day and yes I may have one too many pairs, but what pair would I give away. If you didn't see how many I had it is 43 pairs, that is kinda of embarassing to write when there are starving people in the world, this I know. However, I know this sounds wierd but shoe shopping is something I can control in my life when there are so many other things I can't... yes poor excuse I know, but none the less that is all I have. I also have to admit that one reason I love all my shoes is because my nieces like to play dress-up in my shoes and I love that. I love to think that someone thinks I am cool enough to want to be like and as we all know flattery is the greatest compliment. So.... yes world I will continue with my shoe hobby until I have reached my goal of owning 100 pairs at one time.... however, I probably won't want to stop then so I will probably increase my goal... because some hobbies are meant for a lifetime not a fleeting moment.....

A Month in Review

So I haven't written in a while because believe it or not life has been a little crazy the last month, but it has been great too! Let's see in December I stood in line for Wicked tickets with Jen Lee and Kimbi... that was an experience and worth it all. We are all going to Wicked in April and I am so excited. We had lots of birthdays, Kristy graduated-- Go Kristy!!!, Christmas, Sledding, The New Year, lots of family and friends, and of course I started the new year out right.... I bought two yes two new pairs of shoes!!! I have to say they are adorable but I am slightly bias. There is so much I want to write but I don't know where to start.... maybe I should start at the beginning!!!
Ok standing in line or actually sitting in line for tickets for Wicked! This was an adventure I have to say I like the roads at 1 in the morning there is no traffic! There were hundreds of people in line and I am not exaggerating on this either. It was so cold and as you all know I don't believe in coats and so I of course froze, but I blame myself. Next Kristy graduated with her nursing degree. She has worked really hard and did it, she is amazing..... Go Kristy!!!! Lots of people had birthdays in the last couple of months and it was fun to celebrate them all! Christmas was great... we went to Ryan and Kristy's house to watch the kids open their presents, had our spectacular Christmas Breakfast.... so much food... so little stomach space!!! We drove to Rexburg and some of us got stuck in the snowy roads... but never fear we had a rescuer!!! The family was all here during the holiday and it was so much fun to see all of them. We played games and ate lots of food. I love it when everyone is home and the house full and loud... that is what it is all about my friends! We went sledding on New Year's eve and had lots of fun despite the ice and little snow. I have to say Becca is quite the dare devil... no fear there. I got to see a bunch of friends from high school- the gang- and we chatted for hours. It was so much fun and I am glad we still have lots to talk about and enjoy each others company. Oh, I forgot to mention that my car was covered with snow during the season because of all blowing... we had to dig it out the next day!!! New Year's Eve well I wish I could say it was the best ever, but actually it was not quite so fabulous this year.... but I was with my wonderful friends so that is all that matters I guess. There were fire works and sparkling cider so what do I have to complain about right! I spent time caroling with my friends and watching Christmas movies. Kimi and I also went shoe shopping and she not I bought 4 new pairs of shoes. I was so proud and a little jealous that she found such cute ones and I came out of the store empty handed... what's up with that! New Year's Day started with a fabulous Jeff breakfast and decisions of where we will go this year on vacation! And the day ended with me going shopping and finding 2 pairs of shoes to start the new year off (that is for your Willie)! Although they don't qualify for my new year's resolution (at least that is what Kimi says) so I guess I will have to shop some more! Also I did get a new job so don't worry I am paying for these new shoes not getting them with my good looks although I am sure that would work too. Well, I have to say this is probably one of my longer notes, but there was just so much to write. I will post pictures soon. I am excited for this new year and what it has to offer.
